With reference to the consultation for site MIN96 and in particular the paragraph MIN96.2 covering transport links and traffic movements. Hainford Parish Council wishes to object in the strongest possible terms to the proposals to carry loads in and out of the proposed site via Old Church Road and Waterloo Road to gain accesss to the A140 in Hainford. The proposed extraction site is in Spixworth/Horsham St.Faith and the shortest route for lorry traffic is to construct a suitable road within the applicants site to join Broadland Northway (NDR) at the Empire Way roundabout north of Norwich Airport. This would avoid all lorry movements through residential areas and provide a safe access/egress to and from a main trunk road. The Parish Council are of the opinion that this is the only vehicular route which should be considered for this extraction site.
