Representation ID: 93254
Received: 18/10/2019
Respondent: Earsham Gravels Limited
Agent: Stephen M Daw Limited
This Site is the first of three proposed extensions to Earsham Quarry, each of which will make a valuable contribution of high-grade aggregate to the total mineral resource required over the Plan Period, i.e. until 2036.
A Planning Application is due to be submitted shortly which will aim to comply with all Mineral and Waste Local Plan Policies and address each of the specific requirements of Specific Site Allocation Policy MIN 209 / MIN 210 / MIN 211 (Earsham sites).
Part of this Site (Area 1) has been chosen to accommodate the Relocated Plant Site when it is moved out of the Broads Authority Executive Area. This move will be completed no later than 5 years from extraction commencing within Area 1. Details of the Relocated Plant Site are being submitted under separate cover.
It is envisaged extraction will commence within Area 1 during 2020 and be completed during 2025.
Details of the working and restoration arrangements for Area 1 are being submitted under separate cover.
On behalf of Earsham Gravels Limited I would ask for this Site to be Allocated for the extraction of Sand and Gravel.

MIN 212 - land south of Mundham Road, Mundham
Representation ID: 93273
Received: 15/10/2019
Respondent: Earsham Gravels Limited
Agent: Stephen M Daw Limited
This Site will make a valuable contribution of high-grade aggregate to the total mineral resource required over the Plan Period, i.e. until 2036 and the Site should therefore be made an Allocation.
Mineral extraction on land immediately to the south at Mundham Quarry has taken place over a considerable number of years without significant impact or without complaint. The scale of extraction will be limited to 30,000 tpa, commensurate with previous levels and which is designed to limit the generation of HGV's both along Mundham Road and through Trowse.
A future Planning Application will aim to comply with all Mineral and Waste Local Plan Policies and address the specific requirements of Specific Site Allocation Policy MIN 212 (refer to objection associated with Representation ID 93276).

There is no need to include the fourth bullet point of this Policy as extraction has been completed within the existing Mundham Quarry and there are no other extraction sites in the immediate area which could result in any kind of cumulative impact.
