Representation Summary:

I am writing to object to the proposed mineral and extraction site at Watlington Road, Tottenhill, Kings Lynn, PE33 0RQ for the following reasons.
There would be a huge increase in traffic - The already heavily overused A10 trunk road would be put under greater pressure with the increase of HGV lorries travelling to and from this location. The impact of increased traffic on the highway will cause greater traffic tailbacks and subsequent risk of road traffic accidents. The A10 has been slowed in recent years due to the high number of road traffic accidents along this stretch leading up to the Oakwood comer roundabout.
The proposal would result in greater environmental harm with widespread exposure to harmful noise, dust and diesel fumes which directly impacts local residents and wildlife including my young family, dog walkers, cyclists, hotel guests and members of the public waiting for public buses.
This location will undoubtedly negatively impact local business, such as the Andel Lodge Hotel, potentially causing them loss of business which will make sustaining the pub and accommodation unviable.
Finally, this proposed site would have a direct impact on the value & saleability of residential property close by.
We would be grateful if the Council would take our objections into consideration when deciding this application.
